Dear Ocarina People,

I am taking this chance to let you know what a very significant and fortunate day it was for me when I first spotted you and the Ocarinas at the Craft Fair some years ago now.  Since then, my use of this little instrument has been a real source of blessing and delight.  A retired Headteacher of a Primary School, I was already spending some time working voluntarily in a few schools being especially drawn to "children with difficulties."  It was not long before I discovered the therapeutic powers of the Ocarina!

I have recently started visiting the children in a special school where the children are so troubled (and have been so troublesome) that they cannot at present cope in a mainstream school.  As they are finding one by one, instant success on the Ocarina the day truly "lights up" for them. "Cool" is the invariable comment!

I have long known the beneficial effects of joy and instant success.  I have found the Ocarina a good way to both.

In another school, I can hardly find time for all the children who quickly produce the money to buy their own Ocarina and Book 1.  There are always enquiries about a waiting list!

The children and I specially like the four "Classical" tunes in Book 1.  I will find the new CD "backing tracks" extend the possibilities still further.

You will sense from this letter how fulfilling and satisfying I find what I am doing.
